Saint John Paul II Seminary
Seton Home Study School

Hello! My name is Carlos Gonzalez. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but have lived in Virginia for most of my life. I come from a blended family and have 4 siblings. Throughout my life, I’ve been to many schools, including public as well as Catholic schools. I spent my high school years homeschooled through Seton Home Study School. I began altar serving when I was in 4th grade, and since then I’ve continued to serve the Lord in this way. Altar serving played the biggest role in my call to the priesthood. Being so intimately engaged in the liturgy and being so close to the priest made me learn how rich it actually is and placed in me a desire to go deeper. In high school, I began doing more intensive research about the lives of the saints and learning about the church as a whole. This ignited in my heart the desire to enter the seminary and discern God’s will for me. Following that call, I have now begun my seminary formation and hope to learn to love our Lord more intensely so that one day I can share that love with His people. May the Lord bless you and Our Lady keep you.

“My mantle will always be your safe refuge.” Our Lady to St. John Bosco
