Chase Imoru

First Theology

Mount Saint Mary's Seminary
James Madison University

Hey, my name is Chase Imoru. I grew up in a small immediate family in Alexandria, VA. I enjoy illustration, creative writing, singing, stargazing, and watching the twilight sky. I received my early education at Queen of Apostles Catholic School and Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.

Alongside the JMU Catholic Campus Ministry and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church I grew in my appreciation for the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist and his continued presence in the Church. I was blessed to work with The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham in support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for a few years. My discernment process began with the inspiration of a friend who decided to seriously consider God’s calling to the religious life. I had conversations with various priests and began altar serving while they helped me reflect over the course of several months. I realized I needed to see if the priesthood was God’s call for my life. I applied and was accepted to enter priestly formation for the Diocese of Richmond at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. Please pray for the holiness of the Church. Our Lady, Queen of the Mount and Queen of Apostles, pray for us!
