St. Mary's Seminary & University
George Mason University
I was raised in a military family and spent the good, first part of my life moving. I was born in Fairbanks, AK and then, after brief stints in New York, Germany, South Dakota, and Germany, again, my dad retired from the Army in Yorktown, VA, where I completed my four years of high school. I attended George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, where I studied English and Film, and graduated with my B.A. in 2010. I was active with the Catholic Campus Ministry community at George Mason, serving as a music leader and RCIA instructor. My involvement in campus ministry planted many seeds and helped me grow in my faith and understanding of Jesus Christ. After college, I was involved with the Youth Apostles Institute based in McLean, VA, working in both youth and campus ministry for about four years. I served and worked as a youth minister in parishes and college campuses in both the Arlington and Richmond Dioceses, among them Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk, VA.
I had been discerning priesthood during this time, but struggled immensely with the call. In 2014, I finally took the leap to enter seminary formation to continue to discern the call to priesthood and ultimately get to know Christ better. I’m currently at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD.
In my younger years, you could find me at a lot of punk rock music shows or skateboarding in a parking lot. Skateboarding, art, and playing guitar are still my favorite hobbies. My family originally being from Michigan, I’m also a huge fan of Detroit sports teams.
